Richard Nubel |
Richard has lived in the Southport-Oak Island area for more than 25 years and works with those buying and selling primary, secondary homes and investment properties. After covering two decades of events in the Southport-Oak Island area as a writer and editor with the State Port Pilot, he began his career in real estate. He holds the professional designation ABR, Accredited Buyer Representative, and especially enjoys working with those seeking to purchase real estate. Active for years in local civic affairs, he is presently a member of the Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce and sits on the tri-county Area Board of Southeastern Center for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse services.

Matt McLean |
Born and raised in southeastern North Carolina, Matt has grown very familiar with coastal life in our beautiful state. His family's beach home has been located here on Oak Island since the late 1960's and he is now especially pleased to make his new home here. Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington as a communications major and brings a strong financial sales background with him to our company. After graduating from UNCW, Matt moved to Los Angeles and worked as a wholesaler of retirement investments. There, he met his wife, Liz and after a couple of years they decided to relocate to the Triangle area where he built his own practice as a financial consultant. Matt specialized in assisting accountants in incorporating investments, retirement products, and insurance into their practices and later moved to Robeson County to help his father's CPA firm. Following this successful stint, Matt decided to take on a new challenge and believed joining our team here at Cape Fear Coast Real Estate provided the best opportunity. Matt's area knowledge and sales experience will allow him to make the most of this and he and his wife are looking forward to becoming valuable additions to our great community.

Brandon Merix |
A native of Southwestern Virginia and graduate of Virginia Tech, Brandon joined Cape Fear Coast Real Estate in 2006 after completing state licensing requirements. A frequent visitor to the Cape Fear Region in his childhood, Brandon and wife Gretchen moved to this area in 2004 where he quickly put his degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management to work as manager of Southport's Port City Java. Brandon's clients are the beneficiaries of his strong knowledge of area business and housing markets. In addition to the Southport-Oak Island area and South Brunswick beaches, he has developed a solid working knowledge of the newly emerging markets in the Northwest area of Brunswick County.

Doug Oldham, GRI |
Doug has lived in the Southport/Oak Island area since 1998. Before moving to the area Doug and his wife, Gina, lived in Memphis, TN, where he completed his BS in education from the University of Memphis. Prior to his degree he worked in the Restaurant business, as well as, Retail management for a Fortune 500 company in Birmingham, AL, Charlotte, NC and Oxford, MS. Upon Doug's arrival in 1998 he continued working in the Restaurant Management until the birth of his twins in 2003. Since working in Real Estate, Doug has worked with builders, investors, and second home owners. He attributes his success to understanding the market, as well as, the ability to listen and pay attention to detail.

Hank joined Cape Fear Coast Real Estate in its first days as a new start-up company and 11-years in the film industry. He left the Wilmington area and has relocated to Boiling Spring Lakes with his wife, Sherry and two-year-old son, Cameron. Since joining Cape Fear Coast, Hank has worked with professional real estate investors, second home buyers and relocating families. Whether working for a buyer or the seller, Hank says finding value is the common denominator. In her former life Lea Anne was a Dietitian in Buffalo New York. A Floridian by birth she convinced her Yankee husband to move back south.
Looking forward to her new Southern lifestyle inspired a career change. After all she was actually going to be able to go outside between October and April. Lea Anne had always found her personal home buying experiences to be extremely enjoyable. She got her real estate broker’s license in 2004 and has been loving life ever since.
